The sound was not the best. I had to really strain to hear the audio portions. I checked my speakers, etc but never figured out why I could barely hear it.
Did you turn the volume up on BOTH the video and your computer? I know I sometimes forget to check both. I just checked the audio on my computer and phone and was able to hear OK but I did have to adjust both volume settings.
Can you recommend a safe starter surcingle for use in a standard riding lesson program, to work on balance for standard riding and a summer seasonal activity, not progressing into the sport of vaulting?
I’d recommend reaching out to Amanda as this is her niche!
I personally like to use bareback pads instead of surcingle as it is more comfortable under the legs and also encourages riders to not use their hands. I also do a ton of saddle work on the line with and without stirrups and without reins before pads to work on balance as a (well fitting) saddle distributes the weight of the rider better over the back of a horse.
Thanks! I already have a bareback pad, and a Christ Werner Iberian sheepskin bareback ‘saddle’ I use with the kids. We started doing some of the exercises and it became clear the molded handle would come in ‘handy’. 🙂
Great! Here is Amanda’s email: Amanda.Bubb@reinsoflife.org
