In this series, Michelle will offer a series a lessons following her student Helen. These videos will provide a more concrete definition and technique of using the natural aid of the “seat”.

- Diagnosis: Trisomy X
- Characteristics: difficulty with spatial awareness (where her body is in space), feels ‘disconnected’ frequently, easily overstimulated, gravitational insecurities, subluxation (especially in hips)

I like this idea of following one student’s progress. It is interesting to see how Helen was willing to keep trying whatever she was asked to do and I think that was partly because the instructor checked with her often to make sure she not only understood what she was being asked to do, but to make sure she felt safe. I’m sure Helen will continue to do great!
