Otra Mas Horse Rescue and Equine Assisted Services Organization is looking for a Licensed
Therapist to join our team.
Job description
The Licensed Therapist collaborates with the Program Facilitator (PF) to facilitate Equine Assisted Psychotherapy sessions with individual clients and groups. The therapist will embrace the Otra Mas way of conducting sessions and working with the team. Additional duties will include documentation of session content, maintenance of Equine Assisted Services certification and state licensure. This position reports directly to the Clinical Director.
Requirements

2 to 3 years of experience in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy working with clients of various ages with mental health and/or behavioral diagnoses

Proof of current licensure to practice therapy in the state of California

Current certification from PATH Intl., EAGALA, Natural Lifemanship, or similar organizations

Demonstrate comfort and ease around horses at liberty

Understands the power of allowing the horse to interact with a client based in the belief that clients have the answers within them and the horse is there to assist in that discovery

Have the ability to work as a team and collaborate with team members

Enthusiasm to work with a variety of client populations & ages

Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and clients

Physical ability to work safely with our horses, walk on uneven surfaces, be on your feet in an outdoor setting and in various weather conditions

Liability insurance that includes equine therapy coverage
Hours: Part-time
Pay: $100/hour
